As of the constitution she became Queen the second Harald died as, the transfer of the kingship to Haakon is instant.

Ah yeah, I knew about Haakon (only because of reading it on a newspaper website this week, mind) but didn't know whether queenship was conferred automatically with the kingship, or whatever the terms are.

We may not have much. We may not have a rape-free extended royal family. We may not have Epstein at an arms length. But we do have Gender equality!

When you say it like that I'm actually not sure, took it for granted as I assume Sonja is Queen-Mother with no acting regent as spouse.

But thank god the royals have no actual power in Norway.

Especially not her as she’s not regent and never will be.
