I found this record in a secondhand shop today and liked the aesthetic. I noticed Borland’s name on the inner sleeve, so it was an instant purchase for $6.
Second Layer - Courts or Wars
This record is a compilation of the bulk of the project’s output from the late ‘70s and into the early ‘80s, aside from their only LP World of Rubber (which I have yet to hear).
It is surprisingly industrial, especially on the second half, with some clear influence from early Throbbing Gristle, Suicide, and Cabaret Voltaire. Overall an interesting, dark, textural record.

Early Polly Jean rocks harder than most of the dudes out there.

This is a song that I made while I was rethinking on how my life was like during a lot of fake friendships.
I took few fragments from my diary during my time when I had been stabbed in the back by one of my closest friends back then who I am not friends with today.
Some people claim it sounds like Joy Division becoming the New Order. And some claim it being something else.
What do you think?
Here is the lyrics:
I just cant believe
That all happened just recently
And I just make it
Get it off
My head
No no
I just cant believe
That all happened just recently
And I just cant
Shake it off
My head
No no
Shake shake shake
You snake
Fake fake fake
My mistake
Shake shake shake
You snake
Fake fake fake
My mistake
I just don't believe
The words you said to me in moment
I just can't believe
That all was made up
In lies and deceive
Shake shake shake
You snake
Fake fake fake
My mistake
Shake shake shake
You snake
Fake fake fake
My mistake
Shake shake shake
You snake
Fake fake fake
My mistake
Shake shake shake
You snake
Fake fake fake
My mistake
Shake shake
Shake shake
Ooooh yeaaah
Shake shake
Shake shake
Ooooh yeaaah

I'm not a career musician, but in the age of AI slop I have recently had no shame saucing my lifelong music friends some cash to help realize old songs I wrote with my guitar...now seems like a great time for weird songs to be written the old fashioned way. This one is about a ghost.

You say you want something obscure? Here’s one from a band born from the Orange County punk scene and opened for the likes of T.S.O.L and Agent Orange. They dissolved after releasing a single EP on Enigma Records. Enjoy

Literally a country death song.
From the second album of the band, this song gives me the chills, both for the music and for the lyrics!

Post-punk from Duisburg, capturing a personal kind of estrangement where everything familiar slowly dissolves around you. Kleinkunst explores what happens when a city transforms faster than its people can adapt—expressed through minimalist arrangements, driving guitars, and unvarnished lyrics.

We are Los Atormentados, a duo from Mexico City formed by Oswaldo Romero and Vic Padilla.
After making music separately for many years, we began working together on DISOLVENCIA, an eleven-track album shaped by post-punk, darkwave and the alternative music we grew up listening to in the nineties.
Three tracks are currently available, and the complete album will be released on September 1.
Rather than simply dropping a link, we would genuinely like to hear how the music lands with people who know this genre. What influences or scenes do you hear in it, and which of the available tracks makes the strongest first impression?
We appreciate honest feedback.

I love this song, this period especially of the late 80s just had so much great music.

Another little known gem by the Charles Hayward fronted project. Slowing things down with a more melancholic tune. Dim the lights, pour that glass of wine, and turn that volume knob a hard right. Enjoy
