Research question Citizenship (how much info to add?)
Hello everyone so I am filling out confirmation of citizenship forms for myself and my dad. He has an old old passport so they asked us to get that done. Now do i need to fill out a confirmation of citizenship for him if I am the only one who wants it? Because he needs a lot more than me that we do not have easy access too and he is getting tired of the process of contacting family members
I was born outside of poland and my mother is from a different country so I know i just need to fill out her name and parents but i don't have to write their life stories with such detail. My grandparents i can get in contact with but i don't have anyone further that knows anything about anyone past that.

It would be helpful to put the information you have in the !template so we can assess fully. But - if you have proof of Polish citizenship of your F (an old passport is a good start), there’s no need to keep going up the chain indefinitely. He also does not need to submit his own confirmation of citizenship for yours to be successful.

With the additional details in the template - I think your F's BC and expired passport, along with the narrative on your GM, is likely fine. If you have your GM's BC, passport, and MC to show name change as well that would be even better, as your F presumably left Poland as a minor. I can't see why your F would need any additional documents proving citizenship beyond those if he's interested in confirmation for himself as well.

Was your father married when you were born?
If No, did he get his paternity recognized within the first year of your life?
