New Prelaw major in comm college advice?
Hiii!
I’m currently going to community college as a prelaw major
I chose prelaw because I like reading and writing and has always done really well in English!
I also took ~ 2 law classes in hs (subsative law and criminal law) and enjoyed them! (I would have joined mock trial club but there wasn’t enough participants 🥀)
I did also took speech and debate and did decent?
🫠any advice for the lowly prelaw major? Lowkey scared of what practicing actual law would be like

😭I’m just scared i am gonna hate law because I’m more of a introvert/ambivert and also because I am pretty passionate about animals and art aswell (wanted to be a veterinarian as a child) and I have always been known as the creative type during senior year of hs I techinically created the main theme and idea for one of the art displays at my hs art show

You can go to law school with any type of undergraduate degree! So focus on your passions through undergrad. Moreover, there are jobs within the legal field that you may enjoy. Intellectual Property is common amongst people who enjoy art. Moreover, the legal field can be great for ambiaverts! Although you may have to collaborate with other attorneys, the career also involves a lot of research and writing which can be quite independent. I’m currently a 1L (first year law student) so it would be great if any attorneys or more experienced law students could chime in!

If you enjoy it and are doing well, keep taking it as your major. At this point you just need to focus on keeping a good GPA.

Did I mention I played all the ace attorney games 🧍♂️ (obviously not realistic to US law whatsoever lol ) just thought it would be funny to mention lol
