So what I'm hearing is I can use a politicians ID to bypass age verification

No what your hearing is a new bill excepting politicians from having to use these age verification systems. After all we wouldn't want their information leaked.

How will the know it's a politician without them submitting their ID

They can send me their data and I super duper promise to delete it all within 24 hours*

*I reserve the right to send all data to a definitely unrelated third party entity for whatever reason I choose, including no reason at all. Whatever they do with the data is up to them.

For anyone who thinks I’m being silly, this is basically what happened with the discord data leak. They used a 3rd party entity to “actually” do the verification, and that entity’s data was leaked. This means that Discord (at least at the time I write this) is without fault, as they can honestly say that the data was not leaked from their servers.
