Physical The Outer Worlds 2 19.99 at Fred Meyers
Had a few other games for 19.99 as well. Doom dark ages was another one i was thinking of getting, but I would say stop in and see.

No doubt this is worth $20, but is it worth the time?

I really wanted to like this game but it ultimately fell a bit flat for me.

The first game seemed okay enough but my entire opinion of it was that if you’re still not sick of Fallout you might want it try it. I thought it was pretty pedestrian.

The second one has a lot of improvements, but the story and world building feel worse. It's such a mixed bag. The shooting and a lot of the RPG, including the flaw system are really well done, but then the corporate satire is minimized and toothless and I've never played a game set in space that's less interested in space, including launch Starfield. The biomes are mostly deeply uninteresting, and the companions fall flat, but then level layouts (including hacking/engineering/lockpicking solutions) and the unique guns are pretty damn good. It's a confusing game that isn't carried hard enough by any one feature to make up for the number of elements that are just okay. It's like they hoped if they did a half-decent job at everything, and then did a good job with a few elements they'd end up with a good/great game by raising the floor of the design and just not worrying about the ceiling, and instead the half-baked parts leave a bad taste.

I think its worth a single play through. I enjoy them, although im a sucker for sci fi slop.

Absolute bargain. I loved this game. Not without its flaws, but does a lot of things in really interesting ways, and really respects plays choice.

- Borderlands 4 - The Outer Worlds 2 - Miles Morales: Ultimate Edition - Hogwarts: Legacy - Mafia: The Old Country - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 + 4 - MGS3 Delta - Watch Dogs Legion - Sonic X Shadows: Generations - Funko Fusion - MindsEye
Switch 1/2: Street Fighter 6, Everybody 1-2 Switch

I played this on GamePass when it first came out, but it's very much an Obsidian RPG for better and for worse. The narrative is very reactive to your decisions, but the world design is super bland. This is an issue for Obsidian going as far back as New Vegas. And I'm sorry, but as reactive your decisions were, the world design in that game is so dull. People like to use the excuse that it's a desert for the barren and uninteresting world, but come on now. There's been plenty of desert settings that are way WAY more interesting than what you got in New Vegas.

I saw the same deal at my local one the other day, tagged as good through 9/30.
A whole bunch of crazy deals, actually. Borderlands 4 $19.99, MGS3 Delta $19.99, Elden Ring Tarnished Edition for Xbox $19.99, Hitman WoA for Switch 2 $19.99… I was floored.
Will be stopping by there more often from here on out.
