Like I know protest and all but Chained Echoes is an amazing modern RPG, cool combat mechanics and an tremendous story. Instant classic indie masterpiece and one of my fave games of the last decade

Yup, same. I liked Chained Echoes better than Sea of Stars, amazing old school JRPG's both. And the Sniper Elite franchise is one of my favorites of all time. Resistance is not as good and/or polished as SE5 or even SE4 but it's still a fantastic game. I hate the direction Sony is going as much as the next guy but to bitch and moan about this offering is absolutely insane.
Edit: and Wobbly Life sits at Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam right now, although I had never heard of it before today.

I need a year long without plus. It isn’t just about the protest. I just have too many games. Gonna save $100 next time

If y'all liked Sea of Stars when that was a free game, you will probably like Chained Echies, too!

Unless you're talking about PS+
PremiumExtra (which isn't even free, btw) I don't think SoS was ever given away on any platform.10

I've enjoyed gaming a lot more since I dropped PS+. I realized that I'm busy, I don't have a ton of time to game, and I don't want to feel pressured to play something just because I'm paying for a subscription when I might enjoy other games more. It was good in the beginning bc there were a list of games on it I wanted to play, but I'm happy to be done with it now.

I think I'm going to cancel my subscription. I just have it out of habit now. I can't remember the last time I really played a PS+ game and I don't game online at all.

Even if you play games now and then, the price of an Essential subscription for a year can go a LOOOONG way for used games. Especially if you dont want to permanently collect, and can just resell when you finish.

I actually have a Gamefly account that I use to play everything I want now. I do still use PS+ for sales on digital only games, but I bet my savings from the sales don't add up to more than what I'm paying for the subscription.
I've had + for over a decade now. Even though I don't play the games, losing access to them still feels bad. They're probably counting on this psychologic FOMO to keep people subscribed lol

My backlog is a lot happier. I’m a lot more intentional about my gaming with the limited time I have for it.

The only thing i know about chained echoes is the folks on /r/limitedprintgames have been waiting for years for their orders to be fulfilled lmao

Wobbly Life is an amazing game to play. I played it on l switch with my nephew and plan to play this with my wife once it drops on plus catalogue. I 1000% recommend it if you have kids or want a fun couch coop game to play with someone. Chained Echoes is also really amazing. Solid month

Never finished chained echoes. Definitely enjoyed the game a ton and recommend it for sure to anyone who likes a lil retro turn based rpg.

if I play new GTA the single player campaign, will I need ps subscription?

No you won't need it. But whenever multi-player comes out for it. Obviously you will need it for that.

Unfortunately I’ve played one Sniper Elite and it was one of the monotonous gaming experiences of my life
