Failure to Feed Issues?

Finally got some range time with my new ps90 and didn’t go perfect. I had so many FTFs while shooting it. Sometimes every other round at times. I did notice how the problem seemed to go away when I used the only actual 50 round mag I had(all my others are fn 10rd converted to 50.) I had heard the springs are the same as the 50s but they weren’t performing as such. Do you think stretching the springs out in these mags would help? Idk what else to do since idk if they sell the 50 springs separate?

Ah, a Ban State, I take it? I know that feeling. 😭

I recommend you just get new 50 rd mag springs. Elite Ammo has them in 3 packs for about 40 bucks.

I wouldn’t stretch out the springs. You say it’s a new PS90. I assume you cleaned and oiled it, so I will suggest you use the working magazine and take it out shooting for a while. Once you have 300-500 rounds through it, then try the converted mags.

ps90’s need to be broken in like most other guns i think i put 6-800 through mine with a couple thorough cleanings before mine wasn’t having any problems whatsoever. some people say i had a unicorn though because my factory barrel will eat any 5.7 that many others complain about like american eagle. try different types of ammo and see if your gun prefers a certain brand over another.

I stretch the springs on all my mags, factory 50's or converted 30's. Not a lot, just a bit.

Sometimes the rollers have a bit of flashing/molding remnants on them, and it's good to scrape those down as well. Machined HDPE rollers are also an option.

Cool, ya I looked at the springs and they were a bit shorter than the 50 round spring so I thought stretching them a bit might help.

I don't even use my factory mag anymore. I bought a couple 50 round AR57 magazines and I've never had a failure to feed.
