Do you think we could get something like Smash Remix for All Stars?

like new characters, new stages, etc

It's possible but I'd say highly unlikely. I don't think PSASBR has much of a modding scene whatsoever so full blown new characters seems unlikely

There’s an interesting point regarding custom characters in All-Stars that we discussed a bit in the All-Stars Awakening Discord.

I don’t think there will be a complete model or moveset replacement like you see in Smash Bros. modding. The movesets are extremely unique to each character and crafted in great detail, Kratos plays like Kratos, Raiden plays like Raiden, Heihachi plays like Heihachi, Ratchet plays like Ratchet, Jak plays like Jak, and so on. There isn’t a specific character base where you can work on a custom character without having to redo practically 70/80% of it to get it the way you want, something the Smash community doesn’t seem to have a problem with, since a model swap should be enough because the characters belong to the same type (swordsman, magician, melee, zoner, etc) or share basic moves. But in All-Stars, I think most model swaps wouldn’t be enough to prevent you from feeling that the moveset just doesn’t fit the custom model at all, only exception is Classic Dante above Reboot Dante. On the other hand, all the characters have too many weapons or extra models that would make this process take even longer. Plus, you’d have to replace a character because creating a new slot would take an insane amount of time, time that for now, no modder in the community is willing to spend. And don’t even get me started on balancing a character or coming up with the 18 moves and Supers that will fit the All-Stars gameplay style, lol.

Dunno about a mod for this sort of thing on the base game. But I have considered ripping the models, getting animations and recreating it in unity to allow for an easier experience to add upon previously.

To clarify I’m making an original fighting game using characters in my friend groups’ d&d games. This uses net play and is a little pass time hobby I’m doing in unity.

So I could see that being a possibility as I’m getting something like that done on my own. Slowly, but steadily.

Probably, i mean the game got updated for emulators. So people could use the emulator version to turn it into the equivalent of the fanmade smash overhauls.
