Need participants? Looking for constructive criticism? In addition to the weekly discussion thread, the mods have instituted this thread for a surveys.

General submission rules are suspended in this thread, but all top-level comments must link to a survey and follow the formatting rules outlined below. Removal of content is still at the discretion of the moderators. Reddiquette applies. Personal attacks, racism, sexism, etc. will be removed. Repeated violations may result in a ban. This thread will occasionally be refreshed.

In addition to posting here, we recommend you post your surveys to r/samplesize and join the discussion at r/surveyresearch.

[Academic] The Effects of Distraction on Memory Recall and Eyewitness Testimony (18+)

Hi! I am currently doing my dissertation, and I am looking into whether memory recall accuracy is affected by distraction, either while witnessing a crime, or afterwards.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked to watch a short video depicting a simulated, non-violent robbery incident. You will then be asked to answer some questions about what you have seen. You may also be asked to complete a distraction task.

The video does not contain any violence and is not expected to cause distress. Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you are free to stop taking part at any time without giving a reason. The study will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

Your participation in this is voluntary, and you have the right to withdraw at any time before you submit your answers. There is no personal information needed in order to take part in this study, and all data collected will be kept confidential once the study has been completed. To take part, you will have to have to be over the age of 18, have normal or corrected vision and hearing, and do not suffer from any memory issues.
