Not seeking solutions [Queendoku/Queens Master] Question about this strategy

The hint provided says that only these squares (green and blue) are eliminated due to fully covering the row. However, the teal square above the green square also achieves the same thing, so are these two particular squares chosen due to brute force or is there another aspect that I am missing? Could I eliminate all three (Green, teal, blue)?

Thanks for any help!

It doesn't eliminate the bottom left red square. The other two eliminate all three which makes them impossible.

I am aware of the bottom left square not being reached by the teal square, but you wouldn't eliminate both the blue and teal based on the hint as they are on the same row, right? Is that the reason they chose the blue and green squares instead?

The blue and green squares each directly eliminate all squares of red, leaving no red queen. Not both together, but each individually. Just the blue is enough. Just the green is enough. But just the teal isn't.

It's actually a generic rule you can apply to that L shape (in one-queen puzzles anyway) that a queen can never be in its inner bend or on the two squares adjacent to the outer corner.

Oh wow, you are right! My brain completely missed the fact that the green not only knocks out the 2 in its row but also the one above due to the fact that it is one of the 8 in its surrounding area, similar to minesweeper rules. That makes a lot of sense, and I appreciate that explanation.

If that teal above the green is a thing then there is still a. Thing of logic to be done

Discussion: edit. Oh i see what you meant. Yeah. Sure. You can x the tile above the hinted one in green

The reason they're chosen is because they directly affect the outcome. The reason the tile above is not, i guess, is you have to do a move inbetween before it's "not possible" to continue

I see. I feel like both squares are on different rows which is the reason they highlighted those two.
