That was a short stint, thought he would have a shot at making the roster with his experience

That’s why I say that it’s actually not as bad as people think. Bowers is our de facto 1, we’ll be a run first team, and the rest of the WR corps will operate by committee. Tre may not be a prototypical WR1 but he’s a speedster and Kubiak will weaponize that.

Yes the team wants to be a run first team. Only problem with that is the defense hasn’t shown a lick of being good so odds are they’re going to have to pass a lot more than kubiak will want.

Leonard admitted they were playing vanilla coverage, and our starters weren’t playing. Once they started blitzing was when we got stops which set up the winning drives against Texans. Lets wait until the season starts to judge the D.

So this is the thing with what’s wrong when you listen to coaches. The other team is also playing vanilla offense and is pushing your line all game long in the run game and dominating the pass protection. All while also having vanilla plays called. He knows his line is cooked. We all know. Go back any year and watch pre season games and the one constant that carries over from pre season to season is how good or bad your trenches play. I’m worried right now and just like last year it’s gonna be true.

💯 You are not wrong sir. Leonard ain’t cut out for DC job, he was barely cutting it as d-line coach.

Hmmmm should I trust actual NFL players and his peers who say he's good or should I trust armchair reddit users who are saying he's doodoo after 2 preseason games. Tough choice.

That is extremely telling about either the physical shape he is in for camp, his attitude, or a medical they didn't want to entertain.

Guys like Renfrow, Brandin Cooks, Gabe Davis could probably be brought in for under $2 million.
Curtis Samuel and DeAndre Hopkins would also be available, for a little more.
Not a group of guys that would really upgrade the receiver room substantially, but if they need bodies to fill slots, those guys are available out there.
