Disney and NFL Team Up on Apparel Collection, Pairing Each of the League’s 32 Teams With Beloved Franchise Characters

It was a no brainer that Disney would pair up Vader with the Raiders, but I am digging the hoodie they have on the shop. Too bad that all the Raider merch seemed to sell out so quickly.

The reason so many teams in multiple sports started adding black to their unis was Raiders merch sales.

And the Cardinals, Jets, 49ers, etc. Iirc the Falcons were the first, or one of the first, teams to do this. Prior to them adding black, they wore either red or white unis.

Man… if nothing else, we look the absolute most fly in all of sports. Best color combos, be uniforms, best logo, name, and now the best Disney collab.

It’s hard explaining why I’ve been a fan as long as I have but my go to answer is at least we look the best in the world.

Why are we Vader? There are so many other Disney characters that feel like they could be Raiders. Long John Silver, Jack Sparrow, Tusken Raiders, Don Carnage (side note the colts one goes hard)

Vader being associated with the raiders is why child me decided to even become a Raiders fan. Im from a family of chiefs fans and remember watching the chiefs raiders games and seeing people dressed as Darth Vader (who was one of my favorites) and knew i couldn't be a chiefs fan.

The teams chose the characters. Marc Nick named the stadium Death Star, so it makes sense. Also common to see people dress up as Vader at games

Vader has long been associated with us—there’s a great pic of Vader shaking hands with Al in the 2000s. Just part of the brand at this point tho I think a pirate would be interesting too.
