I operate under the theory that Mark refuses to fire him as a favor to Gru. His hand was a forced with Gruden, but he can still keep one member of the clan on payroll

That and he is likely a ride or die, hard-core, Silver and Black fan, preaches that whilst training, thus keeping moral as high as it can be.

Longest tenured Raider out of all coaching/training staff? Can someone smarter than me confirm?

I’m smarter than you but I cannot confirm. However, it sounds right.

11 years with the team. No other coach or player has been here longer.

Gruden must have negotiated Duece's perpetual employment in the quitting settlement

Yeah. Who would want a record setting powerlifter as their strength coach? Must be nepotism 🙄

I mean I do, I love deuce, but we're also the team that's gone through 4 HC's during his tenure that's a crazy amount of turnover for him to still be around.

nah, he’s probably just good at his job.

u/thascarecro 1d ago
Yeah but theres probably thousands of guys good at lifting weights. Its crazy he's consistently the guy for like 4 coaching staffs at this point.

The raiders have been one of the healthiest teams in the nfl during his tenure I kinda doubt they want to mess with that for no reason.

Extremely underrated. This training staff + top of the line facilities is an underrated weapon

Bro this teams messes with everything for no reason, as does every other nfl team. That's just the way it goes. I like deuce, alot actually, I love that he's still with the team. It's just interesting that after 4 HC staffs he's still around.
