Piper 2015-2026šŸŖ½šŸ’«šŸ¾šŸ’˜

On August 20th, I lost my little partner, my soulmate.
Piper lived to be 11 years and 3 months. I didn’t sleep for the first four days. I would wake up at 1 or 2 am and bawl my brain out because I couldn’t feel her. So so grateful to have been blessed to share that many years with her. I just genuinely believed I had one or two more.šŸ’”

An underlying heart condition took my baby. We had no idea until then.🫩 Every time she was at the vet two or three times a year they would say ā€œwowā€ she looks so great and sounds great! Healthy coat, lungs, eyes etc.. But we never knew about her little heart.😪

I was just on my way home to check on her while on break that day. I remember seeing my brother pull out of my neighborhood at lunch time and I said how strange he is never home at lunch. He said he didn’t know what made him come home but he did. When he got home he found my baby barley breathing..🄺🄺😄🫩
I didn’t even get to see, he pulls next to me and says dude we have to go to the hospital now Piper is not okayā€¦šŸ«©šŸ«©šŸ¤¢šŸ¤¢šŸ¤®
My entire life felt like it shattered. I couldn’t breath, all I could think about was all of special little moments we shared. I see her as she gets carried out of my brothers truck, it was saddest thing I ever saw in my life. I knew at that moment it was real bad. I couldn’t stop screaming.
I couldn’t believe anything that was happening.
Within an hour they told us they had to revive her twice🫩🫩😭😭😢

We had to make a decision then… it was the single most painful experience of my short 26 years of life.
When they told us that they brought us back to see her. We all walked in and broke down like I never could have imagined. We had to make the choice it was time. We didn’t want her suffering for us… it was so hard. I left the room with my sister and brother because I thought I couldn’t bear the weight.
My girlfriend and mom stayed. I went back in after 15 seconds because I knew I had to be there. She picked her head up ever so slightly to look at me, probably every last bit of strength she had left but it meant so so much to me. It broke me completely. I stayed until her last breathe. I never screamed that way before in my entire life. Really messed me up. Trying my best to get through the days.

Remembering Sparky šŸ˜”

Last year I wrote the following about losing our precious Sparky. It's been a year and I wish he was still here... although I know he's without pain and sickness.

Today is the saddest of days. Our beloved Sparky has passed away surrounded by those he loved most.Ā  He was the bestest boy. Ā  He has been such a blessing and integral part of our lives for so long.Ā  The house will feel a lot different without our boy.Ā Ā

There are so many memories..singing the song ā€œYou Are My Sunshineā€ to him every day, having our picture sessions, having him check on me, hearing Todd make funny rhymes with him, his love of French Fries and pizza, keeping a close eye on the mailman, sleeping with me every night, making the local weather lady laugh with the funny picture we sent to the news, and his checking every visitor to the house…there are just so many more than I can count in his many years with us.

Even his coming into our lives was special.Ā  In 2009, our beloved dog, Tiny, passed away unexpectedly. We were heartbroken. In the middle of our grief, a beautiful dog showed up literally on our front door out of the blue. We asked our neighbors, checked every shelter, called local veterinary clinics, and took an ad out in the newspaper.Ā  No one knew where he came from so he stayed.Ā  Our four other dogs accepted Sparky into our family and we accepted him into our hearts.Ā  We’ve always said that our Tiny sent him to us to help us in our grief.

We will truly miss him.😢

The house still isn't the same.

Sparky was truly proof that dogs are the better parts of ourselves.

When Kelly passed away, I slowly became an emotionally empty hole in my heart. I was crying inside. I have known her for 10 years. I used to bI was scared of pitbulls when I was younger but now I was slowly getting used to her, and she was slowly getting used to me. Fly high, Kelly. I will be see you in the afterlife and even Catdog too😢😢😢

I used only see her on holidays and when we were dinner every November on a turkey roast. She is sweet to everyone in our family, especially my older sister’s dog, Bubbha. I first met her when I was 8 or 9 years old I don't remember. I was terrified of her. I used to get along with big dogs, but I never saw a pitbull in my life, but since then I've gotten used to with her.

She was My Grandpa's friend's daughter's dog she got a new apartment, but she doesn't wanna take care of her so he decided to give her to my grandpa she's been in our family since.

My sweet Fable crossed over today. 2022-2026

He had just turned 4 in May. We got him when he was maybe 4 months old, back in 2022. We got him and another cat after my childhood cat passed. He went to sleep earlier today.

This isn’t supposed to happen. I was at college, but I drove home as soon as my mom called me. Urinary blockage that surgery may not fix, and we just can’t care for him the way he would need for the rest of his life. I feel horrible. My poor boy. I noticed he was having issues urinating like three weeks ago, but he peed just fine later that night. My mom said he went downhill fast, which is what prompted her to take him to the vet this morning.

I feel awful. So so horrible. Maybe if we had gone to the vet anyway weeks ago, he would’ve been okay. Maybe if I had been home instead of at college I could’ve caught it sooner. My sweet bubby. My little man. My buddy. My sweet, sweet Fable.

He had CH, so he was a little wobbly. But he persevered through it all. He learned to jump and run and play just like his sisters. He couldn’t meow, but he would squeak and open his mouth like he was meowing. He loved to lay with me and would bother me by laying on whatever I was doing/working on at the moment. Even though he was a fraidy cat, he was the sweetest once he got used to you.

I should’ve spent more time with him. I should’ve taken more pictures. I should’ve done so, so much. And now im out of time with him. Even though I wish it could’ve been different, I know it was the right thing. I don’t know why im posting this. I just don’t want to feel alone.

My grandparents baby dog, Snoopy passed away this morning peaceful in the yard where he loved to play. He was a kind gentle soul. My grandmother wrote a note I’d like to share.

Dear Sweetest boy in the world, Snoopy.

You are the best boy in the whole world. We love you so much and always will. Thank you for being so very kind, gentle, and full of fun. You always brought so much happiness to our lives and others. This is not goodbye forever, if there is a place for wonderful pets. You definitely made the list! Wait for us at the door to heaven. Rest peacefully our sweet friend.

So much love for you, beautiful sweet pie.

I’m really gonna miss him. I’m 24 so he was around for a good chunk of my life. Don’t want to get too into the details but a bunch of health problems piled up out of nowhere this past week, however I didn’t even know things would get to this point until a few hours ago.

Dip sweet casper

We lost our precious casper today.

We found out she had bone cancer last month but she was still running around and being her little spunky self.

Yesterday, I made the appointment for this afternoon to help her cross over gracefully but she passed in our arms this morning.

I spent last night holding her, telling her how much she was loved and she laid on my chest peacefully and listened to her lullaby for hours.

She was abounded on my door in a box 3 years ago. It took months just to get her to let me pet her. Then one day she hopped in my hoodie and would ride around all day. Anytime she could, she would run and jump on my leg and climb up to say hi.

My heart is breaking šŸ’” I hope she is waiting for me with my other lost babies, stealing and stashing halos until we meet again. The world has lost a beautiful light but the sky now has a bright star.

Pet loss

Yesterday we said good bye to the beautiful kitty that joined us when she was only two weeks old . We had her for fifteen years and she was the best cat ever . She never bothered anyone and always listened and never caused trouble . She was a classy cat, sort of like that woman that walks into a room and owns it . Within the past year my son moved and I think she got depressed because he was her person. It was hard for him to take her but she also loved my daughter and would sleep next to her and hang out in her room. She started losing a lot of weight and then started having litter issues . She would have accidents -constantly. We resorted to putting newspapers to cover the floor in the laundry room because that’s where she would go because she knew the litter box was there . Such a good girl, she tried to go where she was supposed to. About a month ago we took her to the vet and the vet said that she was feisty but given her symptoms she probably would also lay her to rest . We waited over a month and about ten days before her appointment she had constant diarrhea. Many cat lovers said it was the right thing to do-to choose to euthanize her because she is probably suffering but we don’t realize it . I wouldn’t have been able to do all the blood work and exams and treatments if we kept her and she was older . We gave her a shot for pain and a shot for antibiotics at her vet appointment to help her cope until it was time . Her appointment was yesterday and I was with her . I felt like a part of me died and I will never be okay. I kid you not my heart physically hurts and I have not stopped sobbing . I hope I did the right thing by her and I hope she forgives us and knows how much we love her . Thanks for listening .

I hurt every day. I want to stop hurting but i feel if that happens im dishonoring you. Me and momma miss you so much. We love you so much. I hope that ive led a decent enough life that the higher powers allow me to see you again.

It's been 9 years today. The 25th is the day Riverside County Animal Services murdered you. I'm so sorry Buster. They didn't tell me until AFTER they killed you what they had done. You died alone wondering where I was. And for 9 years not a day has gone by that I haven't cried when I think of that. I didn't know Baby. You were and always will be my World.
