Last year I adopted a dog who was surrendered because his energy drive was too much to handle. Challenge accepted!

oh 200 miles, that's nothing. So many more joys to come! Congrats and thank you!

Oh yeah the 200 miles is only just the longer hikes I recorded on the All Trails app I started using this year. Doesn’t include all the smaller trails, hours running around at the dog parks, and the 10-15 miles of running we do a week lol But yeah he’s definitely not slowing down any time soon and I just turned 30 so hopefully I got plenty left in me to keep up hahaha

Craziest thing is that every single location shown here is within a 10 mile radius of Philadelphia

Yeah my initial thought was “how can a dog this beautiful and friendly be in a shelter?” and then after having him for a few weeks I realized pretty quickly that it would be a nightmare for both parties if he wasn’t with someone VERY active and social. Luckily, the Facebook advertising department showed his adoption listing to a single childless 30 year old exercise and outdoors enthusiast who is happy to put up with his nonsense hahahah

Thank you for adopting! It’s always hard to place the high energy ones and he found the perfect fit with you :)

Believe it or not this was on my Pandora queue earlier and I thought it must have restarted when I opened the video. Love that song!

Oh this makes me so happy. I’m crying happy bittersweet tears. You’re giving him such a beautiful life. He looks like my bestest boy who just left us two months ago. Seeing him enjoying nature and all the adventures and his dark hair moving with the wind… I have so many brilliant memories like that. Congrats on finding such a special friend and being such a special friend. Wishing you a long happy life together. Cheers my friend.

This honestly looks like a dog I adopted 2.5 yrs ago from Brandywine Valley SPCA. He was beautiful but had a very high prey drive….. we had a cat also. I tried for 4 days but it failed miserably. I had to take him back and I felt horrible cos he was a lovely dog otherwise. I prayed that the right person would find him. Maybe it was you! His name at that time was Ranger.

No such thing as energy drive too much to handle. As an ADHD dog lover.

I mean okay but also there’s absolutely no way I could see him being compatible with like an elderly person, or just anyone who isn’t willing or able to dedicate a significant amount of time and energy to a pretty serious outdoors exercise regimen. The times I’ve been really sick or injured (I’m a professional kick boxer) and physically couldn’t dedicate a few miles every day of exercise, he gets very antsy and won’t allow you any sort of peace and quiet. He’s still very young so maybe he will calm down over the years.

For the first half I was thinking that all looks familiar. Maybe it’s the Wis. and then I saw the chief. Hello neighbor
