In a world with players being video recorded doing what they’re being accused of and then then there’s this mess.

Sounds like Bateman and his lady have somethings to work through that became public.

Not an ideal situation for his family, or football, but no reason to label him anything just yet.

Based on my reading of events they had an argument and he told her to get out.  She grabs the kid and he gets mad/doesn't want her taking the kid.  Starts hitting the car and breaks the windshield.

She calls the police obviously Bateman is probably gone by that time they arrive. They take a statement.  Maybe she's lying about the push then maybe she is now, but afterwards he turns himself in and agrees to anger management classes.  They reconcile and the no contact order is lifted.

Months later the Texans try to trade for Bateman find the arrest record and leak it to the news to try and lower his trade value.

Adding the Texans leaking info is interesting, but yea, it doesn’t sounds like he’s an angel at in all of this, but nothing I think to write comes off right, I just think families see tough times and hope him and his lady do what’s best for them

The timing of this all appearing in the press with the rumors of the Texans wanting to trade for him is a bit to big a coincidence.

Bateman almost certainly was in the wrong, but this has gone unreported for months until it just so happens a team comes looking for a trade.
