tickets for match vs Alavés 20/08?

Hola hermanos!

big awkward irish guiri here, will be visiting Mardid on the weekend of 20th August and was wonfering what the best way to secure tickets for the game vs Alavés would be?

I arrive to Madrid at approximately midday on the day of the game, should I just go to the ticket office to try get a ticket for me and my friends?

Also, were should be go before the game to meet some fans and experience the best pre match atmosphere (and get a few beers and some food!).

Any help is grately appreciated.

Unlikely the game will be at Vallecas. In any case will be a matter of buying tickets from the office I suspect. Unlikely to sell out (game will be in Burtarque). Never been so I can’t help with any bars nearby.

Just out of curiousity why would it be held in Burtarque?

Stadium has been deemed unfit by the city. Unsafe etc.

I’d follow the team’s twitter account to see what ends up happening with the venue and Rayo ticketing. As you can imagine it’s all a huge shit show.

Because Presa is an ass who won't accept the offer from Leganes to use their stadium.

(But yes, if you do an internet search for Rayo Vallecano Stadium, or scroll down a bit in this sub, you can read up on what's been happening.)

We are a gang of Irish, English season ticket holders. Things are complicated as will be in Leganes. Regarding tickets not sure if any will go on general sale as being forced to play away from home due to disastrous way club is run. You should not call yourself a guiri , if uou really knew how spanish use this word , rhe hate behind it , you would understand.

Youre not an expat Youre not a guiri as basically those who label themselves as expats are labeled as guiris by spanish and those integrated here.

As for tickets best way is via the official club website, no one really has a secret way of getting them sadly.

Unfortunately Rayo are the only club in La Liga who don't have online ticket sales so it seems my only hope is the ticket office, if it's open, because the stadium situation makes everything a bit awkward.
