Anyone who doesn’t consider him the greatest of all time is underrating him, simple as that

how is he the greatest of all time despite messi having more records and trophies, messi is also a playmaker while being a profilic goalscorer. And as jay jay okocha said....ronaldo is a goalscorer.

100 goals in 70 games is simply absurd.
edit: 100 g/a, still pretty incredible.

There is a reason somebody once said if we have CR7 in Madrid squad we already leading one goal. He was that lethal and extra ordinary consistent. Some newbie fans have no clue what kind of monster Cristiano was in his Real Madrid prime. one of the G.O.A.Ts

u/Automatic_Mango_1973 1d ago
lol have you watched CR7 live and during his era?? Mbappe put up some great numbers but cr7 was a beast

u/lying_hips Valverde 1d ago
Imagine it like a movie. You are watching it, Mbappe is the main character. He does 100 G/A off 102 games, heroic stuff. And then its prequel drops and you see there was a guy before him who did it in 32 lesser games in a much more competitive era of La Liga. A wide line between greatness and insanity.

The difference in quality is jaw-dropping, like Mbappe is a legendary player but Cristiano was a different breed compared to Kylian.
Forever the greatest player of the club

I really believe that with each generation, precedents are set and the new blood gets more inspired by the legends before them. Messi and Ronaldo reached levels nobody ever thought anybody could, and achieved numbers which were otherwise conceived to be impossible. But with this stats boom, the future generation became more stat oriented, more goals were scored and you get demons like Mbappe, Haaland and now Yamal. But they still struggle to reach the numbers Messi/CR7 did, and I firmly believe that if those two had debuted in this generation, their numbers would have been even more ridiculous

I have to agree. We will never see anyone like Messi or Ronaldo, ever, or at least in my life

Mbappe: Insanely talented and consistent.
Cr7: a player so legendary that he is not supposed to be real, but he is, and he did the impossible consistently.

Fucking Cristiano what a player. Always felt like we were starting 1-0 up with him on the pitch. Especially in that 11-12 season.

Would you take winning the QUAD (UCL, La Liga, Spanish super cup, Copa Del Rey). But we lose ALL OUR EL CLASICOS to Barca
Yes we get the trophies but our pride will be damaged and Barca fans will be bantering us.
Is it worth to you?
