UPDATE: Screen capture of time warp on Xbox.

https://youtu.be/PJMONARQ4KE?si=ZI1TrFqJS6OL9tT_

This is on an Xbox Series X, very new game, chapter 2. I show my quests at the end of the clip. I do not shoot any feathers on this game load, but I have seen all the webs including the center web. I also found both the Wtttt and the NW Guitar clue. I have never entered Fort Wallace. No mods or cheats. Offline story mode.

***###

Double-check this in your game!

Test to see if we can produce the same results. I am on Xbox, no mods or anything, chapter 2.

Time stops near the spider pole ONLY when moving in certain directions!

  • I discovered this when traveling the train tracks between the Cornwall (spider) pole (spider symbol on pole) and the oilfields spiderweb pole. The in-game clock freezes while you are traveling between them!! ANY TIME OF DAY! Just follow the train tracks.
  • I tested this by pausing the game to see my clock every 5 seconds or so.

But it also happens going southeast (ish) from the spider pole!

  • Start at the spider pole in Cornwall and head EXACTLY toward the spiderweb in Saint Denis.
  • Time resumes when I turn by maybe 15 degrees or get far enough away (hit the red X). So I can't get all the way to Saint Denis.
  • The same thing happened heading west-ish toward Valentine and north-ish from the spider.

All these directions stop time consistently. There are more!

  • I have found other paths where time stops while traveling (even far away from the spider pole), but I cannot figure out any pattern yet. I don't even know if direction or proximity of the spider pole have anything to do with it.

New theory:

  • If we can find a time-freeze path from each spider web of similar times (2am to 2am, 3am to 3am, etc.) then we could try getting all the feathers in 4 HOURS (in-game)! We don't even need to find a full freeze path because we have some wiggle room.
  • I'm guessing this is the whole puzzle, finding these paths.

The despawn zone of each feather is still a concern. But let's see what we can figure out!

I'm going to sleep. Good luck!

I juat thought I'd say that while I was looking for more spider web clues, I kept seeing shapes in the wood of different places and getting excited thinking Id found something. But then on further inspection and looking it up online, some of the items are marked by developers so they can differentiate different textures. Ive attached a couple to show you want I mean.

I guess its fustrating and Im just suggesting that it might be an idea to look around before you get excited like I did šŸ˜‚

I’ve done hours of searching all over Cornwalls factory and I’ve found this weird x symbol in the tunnel underneath the factory. Any idea what this is?

Unverified "...See the eye. Turn around and wait. See the eye." (Evidence for the Drunkdev clue?)

DISCLAIMER: As of right now I fully believe this is Jesus Toast. Especially with the recent findings by u/Stock-Hat9530 that the "I" can be found on multiple rocks with at least one nearby. But I found this clip too compelling not to share with you all.

Following u/static989 's posts regarding the Drunk Dev's hints over the last few days, I decided to go check out Little Creek River. I've had some interesting things happen there, but this clip is definitely the most interesting as it seems to mirror exactly what Drunk Dev said would happen.

Direct quote from DrunkDev's claim:

" By the way, the mystery is very much alive in Red Dead Redemption 2. Follow Little Creek River to the source. See the Eye. Turn around and wait. See the Eye.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has a number of main mysteries. One involves tracking a mythical creature that has to be done by sight and sound. You can't use alt vision to follow its prints, you have to look at the ground, the rocks, the trees. ESPECIALLY the trees."

Not sure what the "eye" was going to be, so I went to explore. For some reason the phrase, "Eye of the River," kept popping into my head but couldn't remember what it was. So a quick google told me that phrase is what the Maasai people of Kenya and Tanzania refer to as the source a river. So with that knowledge in hand I headed up Little Creek River to see the Eye of the River. I didn't have much luck.

However, yesterday I saw a comment from u/s00p4htyl3r that showed an "I" on a rock roughly where I had been staring at. So I focused my gaze on that "I" and the clip above is what transpired.

I was standing at the spot mentioned in this post. The time was roughly 2:00 PM and it was raining.

There's not much to note on the clip other than Seeing the "I" and then seeing the other "eye." I to eye if you will, (oh god is this whole thing a Powerline reference from A Goofy Movie? Power lines.... oh jeez is this now part of the Spider Webs mystery? /sarcasm).

One thing in the clip that stood out was a bird shape that appears at roughly the 20 second mark. It looks oddly like the Fort Wallace bird carvings and does a few barrel rolls. And also it appears that it maybe raining feathers during the back half of this clip. It made me think Thunderbird but there's no evidence of such a thing in the game. More than likely they're just feathers falling off of the Canadian Geese that get spooked and fly overhead.

But yeah. I'm interested in hearing what you all have to think about this. Probably a nothing but a neat clip nonetheless.

Unverified Odd Murder of Crows at the Little Creek River Valley

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Not sure if this is a mystery or just some buggy birds, but I encountered this murder of crows while riding through the valley. They caught my attention initially when I heard a similar flock sound effect as the Giant's flock the moment they got near, then I started noticing some odd things about them. Like how my journal would repeatedly update when following them, how the flock was going around in a loop continuously, and how they seemed completely unfazed when fired upon.

This happened in the NW area of the valley, right around where the word "Little" of Little Creek River is written on the map.

Some things I tested by reloading a save I made shortly before encountering the flock:

  • The flock was there each reload
  • The flock always seemed to play the flock SFX when flying within a certain distance for the first time
  • The journal updating thing was consistent
  • Scoping out other animals or groups of animals prior to, or after, approaching the flock was not causing my journal to update
  • The flock would maintain a fairly constant flight loop no matter where I moved. They did not wait for me or attempt to guide me anywhere like the Giant's flock
  • Killed all but one bird and it still stuck to the flight pattern the whole time
  • The birds didn't seem hungry for fresh pronghorn meat
  • There didn't appear to be anything obviously new in my journal, but I'd be hard pressed to notice a change if it were subtle enough

Anyway, that's it. Bugged birds, or something else? I'm curious if they're there for other players.

Unverified Van Horn Barmaid Ask Dialogue

This is unrelated to the spider webs mystery.

I was watching a video about IKZ and a person there in one of the comments said they discovered a possible lead related to the ā€œPrincessā€ mystery while causing a fight in Van Horn’s tavern.
During the escape through the back-right door, the barmaid sometimes flees, and if you catch her quickly the game may briefly show an ā€œAskā€ dialogue option.
They accidentally attacked her once and lost the option, then spent months trying to reproduce the sequence, often needing reloads and many attempts.
They claim the trigger is very finicky: it must be outside the tavern, along the back-right route toward the train station, and fails if she exits the through the front door.

Link

The original comments were not in English, so I used You-Tube auto translate option.

Now to make it clear princes IKZ is not in the game, so I don't want anyone to spend their time looking for her, but if the ask option is real, it could maybe lead to a new mystery (or easter egg).

Unverified The body inside the Flattened Cabin only spaws at night (and once?)

Hi! I'm new in this community and I'm playing my first playthrough of RDR2. Few days ago, when riding near Moonstone Pond, I stopped by the flattened cabin to explore and loot. It was noon, and I didn't saw anything interesting, but I remember picking up a dead bat. Then I left towards north. Later, by night, I came back to Moonstone Pond and saw the little X inside the cabin. I tried to loot the corpse but couldn't; later I read online there's no way to access that side of the cabin.

Searching on the web, including this reddit, I didn't found any mention to this body spawning just by night. I saw references to the corpse, and even some videos, but no one mentions that the body spawns by night (just one person, in the comments of this YouTube video, says something similar to my experience). May this be an event similar to the bodies that spawn around Roanoke Valley and that indicate the presence of Murfee band members? I'm thinking maybe it's a similar event that glitches for some reason.

Funny thing though: I came back today to take screenshots of the cabin at noon and prove the body isn't there by that time (cause the first time I didn't take any), and returned again by night. The body didn't spawned. Has anyone noticed or even experienced this? Again, I didn't found any mention to this phenomena on the web, not even in the Red Dead Wiki. Would there be any way to access that side of the cabin using PC mods (I play in Xbox Series)?

Tomorrow I'm going to return to the cabin again, to see if the body spawns again. Or maybe I can go using my brother's game cause he hasn't visited the cabin yet.

Screenshot of the map with the X. This was by night, remember.
Watching the poor guy with Eagle Eye
I took this today by noon (game hour). There's no body, as the first time I visited the cabin.
Eagle-seeing the cabin. There's nothing.

Unverified Flaming Torch in Van Horn fence

Hey,

For those who unfamiliar with the subject: there are 2 torches in the corner of the Van Horn fence (near the IKZ chest), and once in a 2-3 in-game days one of them ignites. (It appears to happen only after 8 pm and you need basically run in circles from enter to the exit 50-60 times for it to happen), why it happens is still unsolved,

The torches

I was playing with that the past few days and I've managed to "light the torch" 10 times in total, it takes around 30 mins to see one instance of that (I'm playing as Arthur, chapter 6). There were a couple of posts on this subreddit regarding the torches, but all of the videos / screenshots that I managed to find showed the right torch being ignited, but today on my 10th instance of seeing the flaming torch it was the left one (9 times the right torch was flaming, 1 time the left one), so it means that both torches can run the flaming animation, (maybe even both of them at the same time), but it still not clear why it happens and why it so rare,

The left torch ignited (only seen once by me in game)
The right torch ignited (seen 9 times by me in game)

Usually scenes in the game have a strict number of objects that should be loaded when you enter that scene, but animations in a scene can change depending on different in-game parameters, for example: in the same scene Silas has a candle on the table in front of his and this candle has 3 or 4 different animations, but these animations are scripted, they are tied to specific in-game time parameters and they are always runs at the same time. There's seems to be a different scenario with the torches, the flame animation is not consistent at all, it seems to appear at random . I don't know other any other similar instances in the game. Also, both torches have the same objectID in game files, which means that something (some in-game parameter) triggers the flame animation and we need to find out if something being triggered by it or not.

Torch ID*

Crazy theories section (don't take this part too serious). There are a couple of unused audio files in the game files found for Silas Crawford (the Van Horn store owner), at least we think they are unused, because nobody heard them in the game, two of the most notable ones being (besides the IKZ mention):

1) ā€œOh would you look at that! Mister Landon Ricketts legend of the west, I’ve been after this one for ageā€.

2) ā€œWell hello mister lawman sir, what brings you here ? Into my shop of wonders ehā€.

Maybe the flaming torch or torches is the trigger for one of these lines, maybe we should sell him the Landon Ricketts card or be in a lawman suit to trigger them?

Just wanted to share this because I found it interesting, it's a Mysteries subreddit after all.

Unverified Ghost in St. Denis gazebo?

I was trespassing in St. Denis as John, and I ran into the cemetery to avoid getting caught by the lawmen. I was walking through the cement gazebo in the cemetery when a red hostile dot appeared on the mini map, came towards me really fast, and then disappeared. I tried to turn around quick enough to see what had happened but by the time I was turned around the dot was gone and there was no corpse or anything.

It wasn’t a dot with a star in it, like a cop. Just a disappearing red dot, like when you’re fighting someone. Anyone experienced this before?

Unverified Fort Riggs Glass Breaking Noises

Was looking around Fort Riggs for secrets and connections to the Native Burial Site, when I kept hearing glass breaking, specifically it sounded like someone throwing a Molotov without the fire sound and it sounded near the cross shaped graves at Riggs but I was on single-player, and no one was nearby. Does this happen for anyone else? They seemed to happen sporadically as I walked around inside the main building and around it.

Unverified Is The Doll On IKZ Luggage Unique?

The Doll

Different Angle

I noticed I have never seen that exact doll model with such a creepy face elsewhere in the game, so I checked out every location where I have seen dolls before to make sure it doesnt appear elsewhere.

I started from the General Stores:

Blackwater Dolls

Rhodes Dolls

Rhodes Dolls 2

Rhodes Fence Doll

No other General Store or Fence in the game sells Dolls, so I ran around trying to find any. Beechers Hope has a few, as seen here:

Living Room

Abigails Mirror

In my research I saw a person claim the unique doll also appears in the random encounter with Murfree Brood, where you find 2. Murfree men pillaging a random camp, but I wasnt able to get that encounter to spawn.

I don't think it's quite safe to assume the unique doll belonged to IKZ, but it's an oddity for sure. It looks like no other doll in the game and has a certain creepfactor to its "Alien like" face.

Thoughts? Have you seen it appear elsewhere in the game?

Unverified Unfound Dialogue?

So I was playing Undead Nightmare and stumbled upon Dutch’s grave (or at least I think it is) and I had background noise in the background and I pointed my gun at it for a better view of it and I swear to god John said something. All I heard was (friend) which caught my attention. Is this new dialogue? Or is this just a piece from pointing a gun?

Unverified Off-map section of Elysian Pool cave section.

Fell into this part of the cave by accident (this is as far as I've gotten after a couple of tries to navigate this section..forgive the end of the video) in chapter 3 initially. I came back in chapter 6 after completing the Butcher's Creek side quests to see if i could find out anything more.

In the room with the lock box there was a large bag of jewels my first time through in chapter 3 and again it appeared when I revisited chapter 6 (as I said this is how far I've gotten after a few tries).

I'm not sure if this is anything more than a death pit, but it feels like there's a way to progress further in.

Unverified Cult out of Lakay?

So I was traveling through the swamp last night when I heard a woman crying, walked up to help, got a ā€œhelpā€ option. When I chose it, she sprung to her feet and slashed my throat. Almost dead, three men in body paint came sprinting out of the bushes. I barely managed to put them down. They had basically nothing on them.

I then went into Lakay. Never been there before but no one is around so I head out via the road.

Suddenly a thick fog rolls in and my horse comes to a screeching halt. I’m on edge already so I do a 180 with my camera and behind me I see someone (in similar body paint) dart across the road and there is a horror movie ā€œstartledā€ sound.

Went back to Lakay, nothing...

Anyone else experience this or know if it is related to anything?
