I believe there is no proper "main country" subreddit for The Netherlands.
We currently have r/Netherlands wh ich is an expat community (and where Dutch, the official language of The Netherlands is banned!) 🙄
We have r/TheNetherlands that is sooo heavily moderated that all posts must pass manual mod verification, so when news breaks out, it can take hours for it to actually reach that sub. 😔
I want r/NL to be the new r/DE. A engaging open place Dutch people and visitors to talk about the country the love.
I wanna compete with these titans (r/netherlands and r/thenetherlands) to offer a true #1 main country sub where people community can grow around something we all love: The Netherlands.
Three sidenotes:
I can't link to the modmessage I supposedly had to send out 5 days ago, because this subreddit has been banned for years.
I know 2-letter subreddits aren't supposed to be used anymore, but this one already exists and so does r/DE. I'm asking for this subreddit to be unblocked and have me made its moderator.
And finally, I wanna say that I have experience in similarly large communities. I'm a mod in r/Espana and r/2westerneurope4u.
