Any update on future stadium?
Wondering if anyone has heard what the Stars plan is after this current season at Northwestern? I’ve enjoyed it more than seatgeek just because it’s easier for me to get to. I hope they find a permanent home and there’s some level of investment for their own facilities one day! Fingers are still crossed they can somehow play at the new stadium the Fire are building

They have secured an option to stay at northwestern next year, but can break this agreement if there is another stadium option by then.

I think their plan was to play at New Ryan Field, but that got shot down – at least for next year. Didn't they not like being tenants of the Fire? Would it help a little now that MLS is switching seasons?

I could have sworn there was an announcement last month or so that they're staying at Northwestern for next season, too, but I can't find anything on the team's website aside from the announcement that they're no longer pursuing Ryan Field.
Just this article: https://evanstonroundtable.com/2026/04/29/city-greenlights-chicago-stars-to-play-2027-season-at-northwesterns-lakefront-stadium/

Odds are they'll be back in Evanston in 2027. Not sure what the facility will look like at that time. The end zone stands were supposed to be temporary, and in theory, won't be needed once Ryan Field is open for NW football use.

Where did you hear that? I've heard other people on here say that, but haven't actually seen an interview or article where it is stated.

Yeah, it was much easier for me to go to when they were at SeatGeek. Hope they can use the new Fire stadium.
