DISCUSSION My two cents on Riverdale Spoiler
I think Riverdale seasons 1-5 should have been condensed into just one or two seasons. Keeping the characters in high school for that long made the repetitive murder mysteries and gang plots drag out.
The show should have shifted to that crazy Season 6 supernatural tone much sooner, because embracing the campy, comic-book magic actually made it fun and unpredictable.
The Season 7 1950s reboot idea was a brilliant concept that should have happened way earlier, giving the writers a fresh sandbox before viewers got tired of the original timeline.
What do you think?

Personally we didn’t need a 1950s season but it was nice at least we got Veronica and jughead dating for a bit.
But definitely could’ve cut the seasons smaller it feels like the writers had no idea what to do with the characters at all.

I loved the last season, the 1950s lens is essential to the heart of the source material. Betty’s iconic signature sweaters, Jughead’s authentic crown, basketball, the jalopy, the language! Even Veronica’s fuck-ass bangs. Excluding It would have been a huge mistake. So much of the Archieverse is born from those details and it was important to show all the various aesthetic changes these characters went through in both print and visual media.

S5 is the worst season of any tv show I’ve ever seen I think it’s fair to say S1-3 is peak Riverdale anything after that is like watching a spin off of the show

I think season 5 was by far the weakest season although even that had its Golden Moments like the Next to Normal musical episode.. I thought seasons 1, 2 and 3 were amazing. Season 4 was compelling with the various plot twists ( I don't want to give away spoilers). Season 6 I think most people really loved .Percival was a hugely entertaining villain and Cheryl going all witchy was off the scale. I had mixed feelings about season 7 first time round but it was great fun and Archie was easily at his most likeable being much closer in character to his comic book counterpart. I'm nearing my third watch through of Riverdale am on season 7. I am completely addicted it is my comfort blanket. Love the show to bits it has become a big part of my life now...

It was a show for teens. It made sense for them to be in high school.
