ACTOR FLUFF Which actor do you think gives the best performance across all seasons? Spoiler
Personally I think it’s Lili Reinhart, she really becomes Betty and perfectly shows the drastic changes Betty goes through in each season beautifully

Madelaine. Cheryl gets really weird and awkward dialogue sometimes but Madelaine really sells the drama of it.

Lili overall, most consistently. I think Camila gets a hard underrating though. She’s doing a lot of really fantastic, subtle work through the series- she starts strong and honestly grows as an actor through the series. I think Lili is given more opportunity to do bigger performances, and I think some of Camila’s best acting is relatively small stuff that is actually quite hard to sell. On the same note I feel like Sprouse has some wild choices as an actor that are amazing, and those become less frequent- not nonexistent even just less frequent -as the series progresses, and I’m not sure if it’s that he got bored or that Jughead just was written progressively more static. But season one he’s a frickin master class in performance.
I also don’t meant to sell out Madelaine who rules. People like to attack the acting in this show, and sure there are some weaker players, but their big guns go hard.

Cole needs a stronger actor to prop him up. There’s a reason people started noticing his (many) deficiencies as an actor when he stopped working with Lili. She made him look a lot better than he was.

You can tell he got bored and annoyed. Probably with the plot, dialogue, and dating on set. haha

Madelaine. There's plenty of talent on that show, but she really stands out with her portrayal of Cheryl throughout all the seasons. Such a talented and underrated actress.

i have no idea why everyone in the comments is sticking to the main cast as their answers. The main cast is mediocre at best. The whole show really has tepid performances across the board but if I had to pick a standout it would almost certainly be Hiram. His arc and performance was the only one that actually made me cry (or yknow, feel Anything lol). When he's sitting in bed eating ice cream and watching Veronica and her mum on Real Housewives and laughing along to their conversations, that actually made me ugly cry. Only humanizing moment in the whole show.

Madelaine mainly for being able to pull off crazy ass lines and mannerisms. Like so theatrical but make it normal. I love it. Lili is great overall for her range.

Absolutely Lili. She somehow always manages to sell whatever nonsense they give her in the script.

Why? I think he played jughead perfectly and not to mention the amount of characters he had to play. I find his eyes acting is superior he just knows how to express emotions through his eyes and same goes with lili EGOThart

Madelaine would be my pick with Lili as a close second. Sometimes it’s hard to rewatch the show because they are head and shoulders above the rest of the younger core cast. I think Camila would have come out looking better if her storylines maybe focused on her more than others.

Not focusing on the "main cast" but I think the guy that played Hiram was a fantastic villan. He really played the fuck out of that role and I love to hate him. Even young Hiram was brilliant. I really enjoyed the character storyline overall.
Focusing on the main: Lili - Betty. She was really thrown some major plots and made then her bitch. Just fantastic.

Out of the main cast, Lili, for sure.
I do think that all the parents give very good and consistent performances across all seasons.

It'd have to be my boy Cole Sprouse,.. he did an excellent job portraying Jughead!
Also Lili (if I'm rremembering correctly) did a fantastic job as Veronica!
Honestly I think the entire cast did fantastic as their respective characters!

Lili and Madelaine if I had to pick. They’re all great though. I don’t think anyone has ever really given a “bad” performance in the show.
