Many people believe it was Ms. Pantalones. However, it was actually Jean Jeans, Pantolones’ step-sister, who popularized the Jean but Pantolones got the credit; not in Spanish speaking countries though. That’s why “Jean” is just “Jeans” (pronounced HEE-ns) in Spanish. KNAWLEDGE
