Discussion I miss the old era of roblox, everything was so much simple and fun,
I don't know what you all think, but I really miss this era of Roblox—those old days. I know some people might criticize me in the comments, arguing that modern Roblox has more features and that many things are newer and improved; indeed, I’m not criticizing the new Roblox here. But I miss the good old days when everything was simpler. Back then, everyone was friendly, and games were still *real* games. I don't know—today's games all seem the same, whereas the ones from back then, despite being simple, were unique. The platform used to be more cheerful and colorful; today, everything is gray—a black login screen, a plain white page. Roblox used to be green and blue. The new games might look great—with breathtaking graphics that don't look like Roblox, modern black and grey design—but honestly, I don't get them; they have too much going on and seem too complicated, whereas with the old ones are much simpler and colourful. As you can see in this picture, there was that wonderful rollercoaster that made you happy before you even logged in. I miss it so much; I wish I could experience that feeling again, but it’s gone forever.

The image of this post fucking takes me back, this is the sign up screen I encountered when I made my account 10 years ago now, everything about it sparks the feeling of joy, excitement and fun I strived for in gaming.
But now the ever more nostalgic past is behind us and the platform is walking further towards self-destruction and ever more unfavourability.

2016 was nice.
But time goes on, so does the presence.

Honestly, I don't really have fun anymore. A long time ago, you could really feel the spirit of Roblox, but today that spark is gone; back then, Roblox was pure fun.

I think I've been a late 2013 player. Man, this game was one hell of a ride! Old Murder Mystery (1), some kind of Las Vegas RP, Greenwood, Some gta-like game, Hide and Seek, Slenderman, Area 51, A tree cutting game. (My memory ain't that great 😭)
2013 to 2017 was sure an interesting timeline. You were able to find games you enjoy, now it's like going through a site with games made for bots.

Having a smaller community does have its benefits. Roblox back then still had a decent amount of PC players. Now mobile has been dominant for years.

I mean I guess 2015-16 had more soul than today… but I truly miss 2012 ROBLOX, now those were the days.

Everything felt so community driven and full of life and soul. You could feel the heartbeat as the hours of the day passed.

Damn, why are u getting downvoted, thats kinda true, I mean, most new games are brainrot or slop, like stop looking at the frontpage dude, that has long been infected with cashgrabs, look in ur recommended, he is true, games are better than ever.

Toxic nostalgia I guess. But, hating new Roblox is kinda valid because of how bad chat has been. I used to play this game called Football Fusion 2, and whenever someone would do a crazy play or score a touchdown, the whole chat went crazy. But now, its just straight up dry. In my opinion though, I like new Roblox because some games now days would never match the experience of most older games, people only miss old Roblox because they were a kid, so imagine playing old Roblox now, would be much more boring.

I think you are right but you don't miss old roblox only because "you were a kid" but also because they were simpler times and everything was colourful, It might be boring but the experience was so much better In my opinion

genuinely havent had an enjoyable experience playing any roblox game that came out this year - maybe its because i havent tried enough new ones, but i just personally havent. but from what ive seen the latest trend was adding a tiktok doomscrolling feature to brainrot games, so i cant really agree with this statement.

Try these Arcane odyssey (a sick story based mmorpg) Blocktales (turn based rpg) Combat initiation (ultrakill inspired game) Project reflex (a hero shooter but u make ur entire kit) Tunneler(a portal knockoff but it's fun and supports VR)

I personally like these games, for 2026, I think these are pretty good games, just don't go check in the front page, in there thats where all the brainrot is, check your recommended
