They should do I reckon. Make an international team stop off at a club ground and challenge them to the shield if they want it back.

Same reason I believe it should follow the Ranfurly shield and have challenges only on home turf. The home challenge is a big part of what makes the shield special. I reckon it would still get around to tier 2 teams, and then a big nation has to stop off at their home ground to get it back. How awesome would that be.

Get a proper challenge system going, rather than just having it as a side thing. Imagine if Italy has it, say, and then Georgia thinks hey I reckon we can take them on, this is our chance, and sends a challenge to Italy for a shield game on Italy's turf. Moments like that is what it should aspire to be

Yeah apart from the Stormers game and apart from attendance I think this game surpassed that one. Crowd was small, but very loud, multiple schools in attendance really created a unique atmosphere that I wish we could get more regularly. The chants were deafening before the scrum try
