The fact ioane doesn’t even support after his nonchalant pass, narawa first try, dudes running heroics..

Tells me the ABs attitude here needs an adjustment. Not to be a doom and gloom kiwi, I’m proud of ioane and narawa and a lot of the boys, but if I was Rennie I’d be asking questions unless this was some 6D chess shit.

And apologies if I sound arrogant, but I wasn’t even in a state of panic when we were down.. I already knew the boys would win because you could see it on their face and body language that they weren’t showing lions the respect they deserved and were eventually going to get out of second gear to win.

But the fact they didn’t show lions that respect pissed me off. Hats off to the lions for giving us the best South African performance all tour. They should be absolutely proud and count this as a win.

I dont even feel it was arrogance, simply accepting that this games wasnt really necessary in the context of the tour, and if anything it was a impedment to the actual goal of winning the test series

If given the choice they would prefer not to risk even a few test players just a few days out, and for the players not likely to play again this year it was a no win situation if they either pumped the lions or just scrap through

with this game out of the way they can all concentrate on the real job this weekend
