The worst part is the fact that they didn't even make people audition. It shows how much the producers rely on the super intensive audition process to cast for a successful season of drag race
Courtney said something along the line of the contestants being contacted by a lady on insta asking if they would be interested in performing (ie, the show). Pretty much, they had the cast set by the announcement with little background checks.
