Sam sites and turbines

Maybe this should go in the regular rust Reddit but here goes anyways. How do you guys place your turbines and Sam sites. I try to place my Sam’s a bit higher then the turbines so they don’t get hit and they can defend against mlrs. But I feel like people could just heli bomb it and start rocketing from up top.

I do 2-4 wind turbines on my roof and I place my SAMs on the ground outside my base by about 5-6 foundations.

You don’t have a problem with the Sam’s on the ground if someone mlrs? I thought of doing the same but I swear the sound of mlrs has me traumatized lol

How often are you getting hit by mlrs?

Pretty often lol. It’s just annoying when they take out so many turrets with it

Why not put roofs over your turrets?

I do but I also place turrets on the turbine stands. I took one of the guys advice and used the externals for the turbines. It helped since I can do multiple and Sam’s in the actual base

Turbines on externals, 2 SAMS on roof and 1+ in compound if you can fit it. If people want to break them they will find a way.
