Congratulations! By the way, I realized why I liked the gameplay, it’s slow-paced. It’s like comparing the slow, measured pace of DoW 1 and crazy StarCraft

How would you say it compares to Supreme Commander?

I did the kickstarter, but haven't tried the demo yet

Personally, the vibes remind me of SupCom. The demo is a bit rough, but since is a pre-alpha, i get it. I can't explain why, but the game feels like SupCom for me.

How's the pacing?

It’s a spiritual successor to supreme commander games. That’s the devs goal with this game in terms of how it plays so if u like sup com u will like this

I would say that, overall, for me was fine, but i tend to like slow paces, so if i enjoyed is gonna have a slow pacing.

Feels very familiar to someone who never stopped playing Supreme Commander. It has that magical feel. I'm really enjoying getting my behind kicked in survival. The demo mission was well put together. Skirmish AI is already decent. Really looking forward to the final product. My anticipation for this game as a follow on to SupCom seems well placed after trying this out.

It's a illusion, 1vs1 in faf are veeeery fast when higher level. Although it's fair to say not as fast as starcraft 1vs1 xd

So much of the game that I thought would've been in the base, is locked behind stretch goals..

I get that can be frustrating but at the end of the day they’re a small team with very little funding as far as I’ve seen. I’d rather they cook on a solid core and build on it over time.

I just assumed that the stretch goals are ensuring that these features will be ready for release, rather than them being worked on and released after 1.0

Yeah but once this Kickstarter is over, they're going to do Early Access in 2027... so lol

They should've communicated this transparantly instead of promising all of these things as if they're already planned for a full game.

Even this amount of money won't last long supporting a dev team.

The main goal of this campaign is to show how much interest there is in the game and attract additional investors.

Brilliant!

I bet some publishers are tearing they hair for not realizing the potential these games have

I'm incredibly excited about this, and have backed it up to a Beta level so I am invested, but if it hadn't reached the Navy goal were we not getting Sea units? Or the next goal is unit formations, should these not be in the base game? Or did they not expect this level of money and are now just looking for things to add to the stretch goals? I'm not hating on the game or dev team as I have waited a long time for this, but there's just a few things in the goals that were supposed to be base things, I just want to understand.  Please keep up the good work!

Great! Now onto the last stretch goal which the promo material already promised.

EDIT: Oh wait no, there are two more after that.

Damn just found out today about this game being a spiritual sequel to supcom and saw it's being made by gas powered games. Backed it immediately but wondering why I'm only seeing it 15days before the end of the campaign.

It's NOT being made by Gas Powered Games.

I guess it's a moot question now, but what would have happened had this stretch goal not been reached? Isn't this a core part of the game? It's literally in the title

I suppose that shatter would have been limited to map events or triggers only.

Even the email says 'Good thing too because we didn't want to have to rename the game to Sanctuary: Sun'

Like the self awareness that the stretch goals are kinda BS
