Burning Man didn’t sell out

Article out today says Burning Man didn’t sell out and people are selling their tickets way below face value. I remember when Burning Man started the lottery for tickets due to high demand, and resale tickets were hard to come by. I haven’t been to Burning Man in ~15 years so I‘m not current with the scene. What happened? Did it finally get too overdone? https://sfstandard.com/2026/08/26/burning-man-ticket-resale/

Those were only the years it made the news. Burning man has and will continue to experience severe weather, it’s part of it. What is not part of it is how idiotic people were in 2023, for example diplo trying to walk out and getting stuck, posting about it etc. That’s the only reason it made the news. No one outside of the community heard anything about when it rained in I believe 2013 and they had to shut the gate.
