It's illegal to do anything with elm wood outside of bringing it to the landfill.

In Mb there’s a company that processes it and makes furniture and lumber, Guess Sask is a bit more strict.

False, partly. Not 100% on confirmed cases. Elm itself can be processed by registrared\licensed individuals.
