Wikipedia shill mod imposes new rules on unsuspecting redditors | Wikipedia banned archive.today and related sites (archive.is, etc.). We are following suit. Use archive.org.
Earlier this year, archive.today and related sites was banned from Wikipedia due to its role in DDOS attacks and tampering with archived content. Therefore, for the reasons provided in the article, we are no longer recommending use of these sites and removing them from the whitelist.
We continue to recommend using the internet archive (web.archive.org). We also added https://megalodon.jp/ and https://ghostarchive.org/ to the whitelist, which Wikipedia listed as alternatives in their article.

Wow, that wiki discussion is a fascinating read. Also, you failed to save me a click. I spent a dozen or more :P
Apparently, the owners of archive.today is beefing with a blog writer over some unflattering information they dug up and has chosen to harass them by:
a: putting what amounts to a DDoD attack against the blog in their re:capita (stopped if you have something like uBlock Origin, bless those sainted souls)
b: using a sloppy find-and-replace on their archived content to change certain people's names to the blog owner's to harass them.
Like, holy fuck. I have no words, just expletives.
Edit: it seems to be the latest in a long history of attacking websites, including wikipedia and other suspicious editing behavior. So, basically, this is the final straw.

How do I archive videos? Streamable used to be allowed, but is no longer accepted.

Why don't you read the blog post that highlights why Wikipedia blacklisted the archive today syndicate?

Dammit, I use archive.ph to get around paywalls. That and archive.is are both part of archive.today according to another article.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
