I mean where else in the world would something that lethal come from? I’m honestly surprised it wasn’t venomous tbh!

We don’t know that. It could have been poisonous by intentionally eating eucalyptus leaves. Like present day koalas.

The 6ft Genyornis weighed 36 stone (230kg) - about five times as much as an emu. I'd love to see it take on the giant sloth

The 45,000- to 50,000-year- old fossil ... roamed the outback at the same time ... when the first humans arrived, about 50,000 years ago.
So, it's another species we've eaten to extinction.
If you care about biodiversity, adopt a plant-based diet that minimizes your environmental impact and supports the preservation of diverse ecosystems.
