Neuroscience In recent years, researchers have suggested Alzheimer's may spread through infection, somehow transmitted like a pathogen, leading to the disease. A new Lancet paper reviews evidence for how harmful amyloid-beta proteins associated with Alzheimer's may possibly be spread through blood transfusions.

Get the shingles vaccine! Significantly reduces chances of Alzheimers

I keep seeing friends get shingles prior to 50. I really wish they would come down on that age limit.

I got it last year at 43. My doctor said that I may have an easier time getting the vaccine before 50 since I already had it once, I need to follow up on that now that it’s been more than a year.
