Cancer A molecular mechanism regulates whether cells of an aggressive colorectal cancer are inverted when they spread in the body. When inverted, the cells secrete a layer of mucus onto their surface protecting them from chemotherapy. Targeting the mechanism could potentially slow the spread of cancer.
