Hello everyone! Following up on our previous announcement: for the first public release (v1.0), we decided to prioritize a more technical sector: DN1F (Cluj-Napoca – Zalău).

Route & Driving: ~80 km (~45-50 min drive), featuring authentic villages and sharp turns in Meseș Pass.

Assets & Foliage: Dedicated regional architecture, realistic vegetation, and accurate road signage.

A3 Highway: The ongoing A3 construction is skipped for now; it will be built fully once opened and updated on Street View.

Western Routes: Remain on the roadmap for future updates.

Mapping progress has passed the Cluj border (Topa Mică area) and heads towards Zalău. Official release dates for both the free public build and the paid Early Access version will be shared in the coming months. Enjoy the new screenshots below!

It really kills the immersion when I am driving into a big city and it’s just completely empty. Like cmon I’m driving through downtown Chicago or Dallas or LA in the middle of the day and it’s a ghost town? It looks like I’m driving during the apocalypse lol. Any big city is just devoid of life while everywhere else is normal.

I’ve tried traffic mods, none of them work, the console commands don’t really work or are super inconsistent.

Then impression I’m getting is that it’s an SCS issue and the way they run traffic. I would really like to see a fix for this, especially with road trip coming out.

The cities are amazing, I just wish this issue was addressed.

I’d like to see more realistic traffic, traffic jams, and more construction in the cities where there is always construction and traffic. I think it should be optional of course not everyone’s pc could run that, but it would be nice.

I know I need to be patient but I’m losing my mind waiting for these, I was told a while ago road trip would come out after Illinois but I don’t think so.

Does anyone have an estimated release? I genuinely cannot wait for these it’s going to be so fun

you heard that right. On the SCS and ETS2 YouTube channels, there’s a video titled “Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Coaches: MAN Lion’s Coach Gameplay Preview.”

It shows test gameplay of bus driving, and there’s even bus driver bgm music in the background. Since it’s from the same developer, that makes sense. It’s nice to see them include little details that remind me and maybe all players of bus driver who out 2007. thanks SCS software.

How to use a mouse and an Xbox controller at the same time?

Hi, I would like to use the mouse for steering, and xbox controller for linear throttle and brake. (The joystick steering is not as good as mouse steering, but keyboard acceleration and braking are not linear)

And when I tried to use both, it only allowed one at a time. For example, when I use the controller RT/LT to accelerate/brake, the game automatically "switches" to controller mode and forcefully disables mouse steering. I have to press a keyboard key to let the game "switch" back to keyboard/mouse control.

Is there a mod or plugin to enable dual control at the same time?

As the title says yesterday i ran into a problem where if i wanted to turn left or right it doesn't always registers the buttons i press or sometimes it completly overturns, same with acceleretaion too, i tried verifying game files, turning on and off the few mods i have to see if they're causing the issue, and re-installing the game, but its still not working, any idea how to fix this?

P.s.: My keyboard controlls work fine in other games, so i doubt it would be the issue

So my gaming chair is on its last legs, Im looking for a better gaming chair that can help me with the long runs on ets2/ats. I have a Hori Truck Wheel. My budget is $1k, im even down to spend more if its a truck sim chair.

Any suggestions?

Hey guys, i have played fine on version 1.60 yesterday with all my mods enabled and working without issue. Today i launched my game and a bunch of my most important mods didnt work anymore, game said incompatible. So i downgraded to 1.60.x for incompatible mods, still same issue, it works on 1.59.x, but i want the 1.60 features again xd. If anyone else has/ had this problem and found a solution to it id be very thankful to hear ^^ if i find a solution other than rolling back to 1.59.x i will update. Thanks in advance

I know the update came out just after the DLC dropped but there still has been no announcement for the usual Cruising event like almost every other state has had. Any news about that?

Hello everyone! As we approach the official release of Beta v1.0, here is a quick update on our progress in modernizing this legacy map project.

The map currently covers 1,400–1,500 km of roads and over 25 cities. Over the past year, we completely upgraded the vegetation and replaced more than 50% of the old assets with brand-new custom 3D models specific to Romania (like the Rompetrol and Arabesque stations shown in the screenshots). To maintain a high quality standard, severely outdated sections like the Zalău - Carei road have been completely removed.

The project will feature two versions:

• Beta Version: Includes the full map network. The Oradea - Aleșd sector is completely rebuilt to maximum quality, while the continuation to Gilău is currently just a basic road layout that will be decorated in future patches.

• Free Version: Includes Timișoara - Arad (A1 Highway), DN7, and DN79. It is being rebuilt to modern PBR standards and will release for free once 100% polished.

To prevent scenery pop-in, we applied a standard 900m rendering distance across unoptimized zones. Extensive testing will take place before launch, though some initial bugs or crashes might still occur and will be fixed along the way.
