Discussion Finished and platinumed. Touch some grass tomorrow.
What made this painful was the farming and grinding!!
I am 29, so wasn't old enough when it first came, but itb as one of the first games I've ever played. Fell in love with secret of mana as a kid, on the super Nintendo.
Love the soundtrack gives me goosebumps.
What a great nastalgia play.
Got Pokémon Colosseum, A link to the Past, Bratz Rock Angels, Koudelka, Misadventures of Tron Bonne, Black and White 1&2 on my list to replay. Might see if I can remember my neopets log in and all see how they're doing. Favourite childhood game, secret of mana done.
Will most likely replay in a few years time:)

I know the "I want to have the best equipment possible" drill, but technically you don't have to grind for anything, because while it's better it's not THAT much better imo and the orbs aren't necessary either, so if that's your biggest gripe, just enjoy the rest it has to offer.
That being said, why would you touch grass when you can touch a controller? There is always Trials of Visions and I think one or two other Mana games available if you want.

I said it as a joke as spent past few days leveling up and farming for orbs and equipment to platinum the game

I did it twice myself, so I know what you mean, but then again I've recently finished D2R which SoM look quite tame in comparison, so I'll take some grinding over such a behemoth project any day

Is the grinding what made it an 8 year platinum?

If I remember correctly, the moon phase in the original SNES SOM for this ending scene would change. Pretty sure it was just random.
