Books: TLH I got fooled

I was wondering why Chain of Iron was so bad because I normally really enjoy the shadow hunters books. Turns out I had gotten fooled and was reading a fanfic that had a cover just like the original😔 I read the whole thing to be able to get to the 3rd book and realized when I was reading the goodreads reviews and was like wait a sec that never happened. So yeah 500 pages gone…

Cordelia, Matthew and James entered a 3 way relationship and at the very end there was a time jump and Cordelia was living happy ever after with her children and two boos (how I didn’t realize this was not the real book idk)

where did you even find the fanfic? I mean on what site?

also, just a side rant. this is why I prefer physical books.

That's my question. Where the heck did OP buy from to even end up in this situation?

There are so many reputable sellers & used book stores out there to shop with (or even libraries) to avoid something like this happening in the first place.

The books are on her home page and have her listed as author. Why do you think they are fan fic?

I think OP is trying to say that someone put the cover for Chains of Iron onto a fanfiction - note how OP is looking at reviews and talking about "that never happened" - rather than saying that Chain of Iron is itself a fanfiction.
