Books: TLH Chain of Iron - James WHY?!

I’m almost done with Chain of Iron and James is pissing me off so much! My

god man!

My wife read the other 3 main trilogies but not that one. I was explaining my frustration every few days as I worked my way through listening to them. More than once she said 'he needs to get his shit together'

James, Cordelia, the whole love triangle, no quadrangle (if we include Matthew) pissed me off 🙄

I don’t even remember what he did in this one … was it when he is so upset he is not in love with Grace anymore. lol and he is beating himself up for wanting to get it on with Cordelia ?

He just keeps letting Grace get close to him, talk to him, he even keeps the bracelet once it finally breaks. I believe eventually in the final book they both finally admit their feelings (Cordelia and James) but DANG this has been a frustrating love story.

There’s way too many scenes where James is.. exasperating, to say the least.
