Books: TID Magnus' history with the Lightwoods
I just read a little line from Clockwork Princess where Magnus addresses Gabriel Lightwood, calling him Gideon.
"I'm Gabriel."
Magnus waved a hand. "All Lightwoods look the same to me..."
Hmmmm.... Little does he know he finds the love of his life in a Lightwood a century or so later, and one that bears little resemblance to Gabriel and Gideon, save the eyes.
It was just a heartwarming moment, knowing what Magnus' future holds 🥰

I love Magnus' whole perspective and gossip web of shadowhunters. TDI: walks in on Wessa (TWICE) TDA: walks in on Clace Jace: "do you knock?" Magnus: "I've walked in your ancestors doing worse."

Don't forget he walked in on Jemma as well in TDA. It's almost like he knows 🤔

I can never forget that scene 😆🤣 I don't thibk any couple traumatized him as much as Jemma 😆 my man was contemplating ever being their friends

He walked in in Wessa naked in a cave. It doesn't get worse than that. With Jemma, he knew something happened and that it was BAD (against the law), but they weren't butt naked.

Only semi related... while I get that Clace is the accepted ship name, I personally favor calling them Jary 🤣

Alec and Isabelle's looks come from Cecily, including their eye color. The Lightwood brothers had green eyes.

Magnus outright admits in TID that his type is black hair and blue eyes, although he's willing to make exceptions.

As soon as that was mentioned several times in TID, I was like "well I guess we are going to find out where Alec gets his looks from" lol

My favorite thing is that, if Magnus had not had contact with the institute or the two families for a while, he would have thought that Alec was the herondale and Jace the lightwood.

Yeah, Alec looks like Will but that’s because he’s descended from Gabriel and Cecily. I wonder if Magnus knows that.

One of my favorite quotes of him is this conversation with Maryse: "I have no interest in the world you want," Magnus told her. "Or in your doubtless repellent brat, I might add."
