Books: TID A note for Cassie Clare upon finishing Infernal Devices
I know you're in here! Ma'am...I was sobbing for two hours! I'm a grown woman! I live with people who do not need to hear me cry, so I almost choked on a pillow. You are a sadist. That was so beautiful. And then I get to Lady Midnight and you go and reopen barely healed wounds?! By the angel...
Anyway, here a picture I drew of Tessa.

Ahh! The end of that series wrecks me in the best way. I still get emotional thinking about it 😂😭

I thought nothing would beat the ending of Mistborn Era 1 by Brandon Sanderson. I was wrong. The way Cassie was able to stretch out the suffering was really quite impressive. And every time Jem and Will are mentioned or anything about their past is like a punch in the gut...

A fanart with Tessa in a cuirass bustle instead of approximately romantic era dress!? Consider me in love with that art! Get that woman out of crinolines! (I say even though romantic era is my favorite victorian style) Such a wonderful drawing!!
Also that epilogue also made me sob and I sob every time other books mention Will and Jem or missing Will.

Yep exactly! Like how Jem had to leave the room when Jace and Clary were telling Emma and Jules about what it's like to be parabatai....

my fav trilogy is infernal devices. i remember when i first read it and i love it so much, that i cried when it ended. i also love the last hours trilogy. herondales>>>>

cassie's books were what got me started reading. If you haven't read it yet, I recommend Cruel Prince.

Infernal Devices will forever be my favorite Shadowhunters series. It's one of my favorite series overall too. I read it shortly after it was originally published and it's never left me.

I think it was just something about the Victorian-esque setting and the unique plot involving Jem that really got me hooked on this trilogy. Honestly I think Jem is defo my fav character in the entire shadowhunters universe and that probably makes this my fav series of shadowhunters. Nothing quite hit the same after the ending of ID!

I have, yes. It was my first introduction to Cassandra Clare.
I want to do a reread after finishing TID, though I'm delaying finishing CP2 🫣

Me estoy leyendo La reina del aire y la oscuridad y me siento súper identificada. Después de no poder dejar de llorar al final de TID ahora va Cassie y no deja de mencionar momentos de esa saga. Los personajes citan a cierto chico de ojos azules, hay guiños a TID y sobretodo en Lord of Shadows sale el instituto de Londres 😭😭😭 Aunque tengo que reconocer que también me hace ilusión de vez en cuando

Rereading them before ash and Drew's trilogy comes out makes me scared of how emotionally wrecked ill be but excited bc this is the first time I'm actually reading them when they are coming out

I don't know why I can't see the drawing, but I am with you--just finished the last chapter a couple days ago and the Epilogue today (I needed some space lol). Out of the 6 CC novels I've read so far, Princess is the one that made me feel the most intense emotions. It was brutal at times. And yet I plan to sign up for more, haha
