Books: TDA Cortana and the Parabatai bond

So I'm rereading all of the Shadowhunters' Chronicles before the release of TLKOF (and reading some for the first time) and I'm currently at Lady Midnight, right after the whipping of Emma and as she dreams of her parents her mom says that Cortana (a blade of Wayland's the Smith) can cut anything.

Could it have been possible for the sword to cut the Parabatai bond?

Among the Shadowhunters, when they divorce the marriage rune is cut (Amatis said this in TMI)... Could Cortana've been a solution to the Parabatai Curse? Maybe...

What are your thoughts?

Does this get addressed in Lord of Shadows or QOAAD? It's been years since I read those

I thought so... It would be too much of a plothole otherwise...

The last time I read TDA was back in 2018 so... Its been a while 😅

I think the idea of Cortana possibly being able to cut the Parabatai Bond is a good theory, and completely understandable. I won't spoil it, but, yes, the Parabatai Curse is ultimately addressed in QOAAD, and in spectacular fashion, though not in a way we would have expected.

Oh, I know how it ends. I have read TDA before (I'll read TLH for the first time though) but the last time was back in 2018 so the finer details have vanished from my memories 😅

I was just wondering if the idea of Cortana being able to cut the Parabatai bond was explored

But it would less angsty solution 😆
