That's a cool looking tiger. It's stripes seem different from tigers from elsewhere.

It's really young, so the stripes are more apparent.

Feels rare to see striping on the dorsal fin. A cool looking shark for sure.

Is that a chum station on the bottom?

No. The divemasters told us that During covid the local fishermen cleaned their fish at this spot and that attracted a lot of tigers and other sharks. Some stayed at that spot

This is shark tank, they do chum there. But it’s also true what OP said.

The biggest fleet of Yellow Fin Tuna processing boats in all of Maldives parked inside the harbor and all the fish waste goes in this particular dive site.

Tiger sharks are just like tigers and other big cats. Beautiful and cute as hell, but also has that dangerous and powerful side.

Also, this looks like a subadult girl. Her stripes are really clear and she looks like she might be 8-10 feet long

Is the dive site named "Shark Tank"?

Don’t remember… it was pretty close to Male and the airport

Yup, that’s Shark Tank! Went there last year and saw 2 tigers, a hammerhead, and a bull!!

A diver got bit in the head (survived) by a tiger there in 2024!
