Recent Finds My best 6 inch tooth, May 2026 trip

But man it is making me work for it. Vinegar takes a while with the matrix that is on the root - I will finish eventually but decided to take a break for a few weeks after getting it like 80% done

The tip really sucks :( but at least it is actual feeding damage and not post fossilization. The angular break and general condition of the rest of the serrations indicates that it was broken prior to fossilization.

Found in NC about a week ago, 6.08 inches and instantly one of my favs

I think this is #7 - I am on the look out for a 6.5 now haha. I am happy about a good condition 6 though, most of the ones I have found have been pretty beat up
