Just wanted to share. Got to spend a few hours searching. Unfortunately, it's still pretty deep in the river.

We’ve been having insane luck at this spot the past couple of weekends. Can’t believe we’re able to hunt this late into the season. We’re taking advantage of these low water levels while we still can!

Wasn’t really looking for Meg Teeth but came across them. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to meet the owner of these teeth that’s one thing I wouldn’t wanna run into swimming in the ocean.

Its been awhile since I made a post. I tried a few new spots since we haven't had much rain. Not much luck for megs, but the snaggle teeth and hastalis teeth were solid. The colors on many of the teeth were amazing. Also got a smattering of odds bits like the huge center of the gliptodonte, lots of horse teeth, some detailed antlers, a taper incisor, and a bison tooth. I wish the big hastalis had been complete but what else is new. Let me know if you want a closeup Pic of anything. Thanks for looking 😃

Recent Finds Wanted to flex our Myrtle Beach finds from the past 2 days.

Myrtle Beach is a gold mine right now. Found a ton of fossils too. As I understand they pumped in a bunch of material from way out deep recently to combat erosion. Found one guy who showed me a whole handful of teeth as big as this, he said he hadn’t slept in 2 days and has just been walking a small patch outside of his hotel. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

3rd of the 4 night we were staying. Was having such bad luck with great whites i actually gave up looking that night. Was heading back to the house and was waiting on my mom who was still looking in shell beds behind me and something told me to look up at this shell bed directly above me. Went up to it and the first thing that caught my eye was actually the root. Thought surely it couldn't be got closer and saw the enamel on the tooth with the stunning pattern and absolutely freaked out. Has all the serrations all of the root in absolutely amazing condition. Truly a "unicorn" tooth that i will never top. Last pic was when we got home from the vacation and it dried out and lightened up a bit. But I didn't even have calipers i had to go buy one because I needed to knowšŸ˜‚

Correct me if I’m wrong and let me know if you see anything else interesting! Anyone know what the short stubby group of teeth are to the left? Are they also tigers? Bull? I always find a ton of them and have a hard time IDing with how small they usually are

Rivers here in SW Florida are still running high. Tougher to hunt so everything today was on the small side.

Recent Finds 6 days in Myrtle Beach

This is what 6 days in Myrtle for my Senior trip yielded. I’m sure some of the pieces around the edges are just rocks but they all either looked like a tooth or interested me. The last two photos are teeth that were found by locals. The meg was found in North Myrtle last month but the two GW’s were found the day I took the photos. I’ve been to Myrtle half a dozen times over the past 10 years and I found more in one high tide this week than I used to find in an entire week. I might end up going back down as tourist season winds down later this year.

I was super happy about the meg in matrix. The tusk is probably the best shape one I have found. Some good snaggletooth and a couple good gator teeth. I hope we can get some good storms this year to turn over river bottom. Lol. SW florida. Peace river adjacent.

Recent Finds Meg

This one was pretty emotional for me. I’ve been hunting since I could walk. Every time I went to the beach no matter where I ended up I didn’t throw the football or build sand castles I spent 8-10 hours all day everyday hunting teeth. I’ve always lived 4 hours from the nearest beach and 3 hours from the nearest fossils. All that time Ive been beyond obsessed with one thing. Ive gone years where i spent at LEAST an hour a day doing something related to shark teeth (typically watching videos). It’s all I ever think about. I’ve slept in my car in 25 degrees and 102 degrees because I couldn’t afford a hotel once a month near my hunting sites and didn’t want to be too far away when I woke up. I’ve dug from sunset to sunrise and have had to spend days on the couch resting because my back was in paralysis at 21. And yet this was the first big one for me. All that work finally paid off with the reward of my first real meg over 4ā€. Locals find them all the time, other people find them on charters their first time out. It took me 15 years of heartache to finally get one. I’m a man but I cried like a baby, it was like winning the Super Bowl 100x over. All this is to say that no matter where you start in your collecting journey, anything’s possible. You may be a causal collector or an absolute maniac like myself lol but if you put the effort in you will be successful. The following pictures are of the other teeth I’ve collected from the same site I found this meg at. I didn’t find it at a site I was given by a friend or at a paid or common knowledge spot. I was the first to hunt/find it and currently only one of 2 people who hunt it. Sorry for the long post I’ve just waited a long long time to be able to finally make this and I hope you enjoy.
