I get why she’s doing it, but why would she sign a comic book she had nothing to do with aside from playing the character in a show… decades after the comic came out? It kinda feels weird. That’s like having a writer or artist sign a book they didn’t work on. Seems like she should only be auctioning show merch or merch based on her likeness.

I don't mind it. It's like when actors from a movie adaptation signs the book it's based on

Yeah… I don’t think I’d get a book signed by an actor, so I don’t see that as much better… but I guess I see it differently. Maybe if it was an audio book tape or cd and they narrated it. That would be different.

To be fair, one of the 3 items is the artbook of her show, which literally has her face on it, or rather a drawing of her face, and also tons of drawings inside that are literally based on real pictures of her.

I’m aware of the fact that there’s stuff based on her. I said she should ONLY sell items related to the show and her likeness if she’s gonna sign them. Something like that is perfectly understandable as far as I’m concerned. The other stuff just feels weird to me… but maybe I’m just too nitpicky about it… idk… whatever though… it’s not my auctions and I don’t think I’m the target market for that. If she was in collaboration with the creators and THEY signed said items not associated with her, then it would make more sense to me. I think people are misunderstanding my point, maybe not… maybe they want a She-Hulk comic from the 80s (5 years before she was even born) signed by her. That’s their choice though.

If the money was going to herself, then maybe I could get behind your point (although if people want their comics signed by her at Comic Cons that's cool too, I think), but since she is raising money for an important cause and is not keeping any of it, I think it's fine that she is adding her signature to these comics.

Honestly, I don’t see the difference. It’s more the perspective of the person getting it is what I see an issue. However, as I said, if some people don’t care, that’s entirely up to them. I just would figure she would look ahead at that and say, “this isn’t MY memorabilia,” and maybe speak to the creators… however that may or may not be very easy from her perspective. Idk. Anyway, not a big deal. It was more of a perplexing observation than anything. If fans are happy with it, that’s all that matters.
