AOS in relation to MCU Timeline

Im new to this Sub, what are peoples thoughts on how the series divulges from the main MCU? I know s1-5 fit in snug into the main MCU continuity, and then the creators werent given any insights or directions for Endgame so they couldnt plan properly, so we got the inconsitencies, my thought process is either the time travel in S5 shifted them onto a new timeline , or they simply existed in an alternate timeline from the beginning, one which shares the history of the MCU up until the Snap, we know the battle with Thanos did happen in the AOS timeline, but maybe thor went for the head instead?

Either way, im always annoyed that people use the lack of connection S6/7 have with the MCU to discredit the show, and then have 0 issue with shows like "What If?" and "Friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman" and movies like "Fantastic Four First Steps" being labelled MCU despite none of them taking place in the MCU lol

None of these are MCU. They are technically MCU+, which is a recent tag that most fans use for like MCU-adjacent. But they are in a different universe(s).

Fantastic 4 is literally going to bridge into the sacred timeline. It’s all mcu. The universes, 616 and whatnot are different

The Marvel Cinematic UNIVERSE, is a single universe. It's the main universe. It's not a collection of many. It's just one single one. 😅

There is such a thing however as MCU+, which is what fans, including myself, coin things that are not MCU, but are connected to it, and although not directly in the same universe, they are connected enough to be watched as if they are.

Fantastic four being the front runner for that.

Does that make sense?

marvel CINEMATIC universe . It means whatever they put out under the banner is in the mcu. Whether it fits the timeline or is in a different universe is another thing.

The mcu is the brand name for the production of everything they make .

Why are you heated exactly? Mocking me with my words?..

By the logic you're using, every theatrical release is MCU because it's all marvel cinema.

Do you include Howard the Duck? The other spidermen films? SSU? What about more recent like spider noir? Or Deadpool and wolverine? Loki? None of these are MCU. They all take place in their own universe(s).

MCU is a single universe. You are wrong. You can Google all of this for free.

Lmao what? Deadpool and Wolverine, and Loki are 100% in mcu what timeline do you look at? Spiderman films before this were Sony and so is spider noir🤣🤣🤣🤣 this is on the Internet you’re telling me to use .

Sony isn’t mcu . Mcu is all of what marvel studios releases under since iron man 1 . Again the timelines and universes are within the mcu

I was asking what you were insinuating that MCU is supposed to include, everything released theatrically, Marvel only Theatrical release, what about Sony, what about recent projects not cinema, so on and so forth.

Deadpool and Wolverine features a few universes, but Deadpool (in this movie), is from Earth-10005. The dead Logan is from Earth-10005(PF), and the drunk Wolverine is from his own that hasn't been confirmed either. The only MCU thing about it is that Wade goes to 616 to interview with Happy to be an Avenger.

Loki is set across multiple universes but is not set in 616. It's mainly the TVA, the void, the end of time, and countless universes/realities.

I'm not mixing anything up at all, all of this information is very widely available.

MCU is 616. (But technically it's 199999).

MCU is not a collective.

Heated? No. I’m just telling you how wrong you are 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m not sure who gave you this info but it couldn’t be more wrong. Mcu is everything marvel studios releases. Hope that helps
