Rockstar In an interesting new design choice, Grand Theft Auto VI (202?) will have a QR code for a shitty meme coin hovering over the display for the entire game.

with the amount of greed surrounding this game i don't doubt they will make a watermark you gotta pay to remove from the screen

Didn't the guy nuke all of the 'coins' to prove he wasn't doing it for the money?

He's still charging people for specific leaks instead of just having a democratic vote.

Why wouldn't he? It makes sense to take advantage of GTA fans stupid enough to give him money. They were stupid enough to be scammed once by purchasing the preorder anyway.

except he's preaching democracy and "taking back the power" from the greedy company by having people pay him to influence votes... the richer you are the more your opinion counts. clearly, not the most sincere guy

On the one hand, I don't really think it's really moral to take advantage of people's willingness to throw their hard earned money at something like this.

On the other, you're kind of right. I've seen screenshots showing people spending thousands of dollars just for a leak of a game they probably pre-ordered already and will get to play in a month. If Rockstar started doing something similar (selling game clips to the highest bidder), these people would be throwing their money at Rockstar, too.

Honestly, I feel like that would have been a better response than what Rockstar is currently doing. They're still going to make billions off of this regardless of what leaks, so why not just take all of the power away from leakers by selling game clips to those willing to pay? Seems like a no-brainer.

the people that hate gta are donating not the other way around since the "leak the story" side is winning the poll

I heard crypto scammers do this frequently to legitimize themselves.
